Hazel, world.
World, Hazel.
Now that you are acquainted, allow me to skip to the preliminaries.
On August 10th, 2007, at 4:39pm, Hazel James Roy came in to the world.
Weighing in at a featherweight of 7lbs, 11 ounces and with an astonishing height of 20 inches, she holds the boxing ring ransom to any who desires entry. The boxing allegory comes from the fact that she also came out with a shiner, or an angel kiss according to the pediatricians.
She has one on the back of her head too, around the hairline.
Yesterday we were discharged from the hospital around noon. We put all our gear, and flowers(thanks Keag's, Crockett's and O'Leary) into the Mini. Heather sat in back, next to the car seat, and I drove.
As we headed down the 85, we listened to music that I thought I would want to listen to if I was born today.
Here was the playlist:
In Your Room; the Bangles.
It's Time to Party; Andrew W.K.
Sure Shot; the Beastie Boys
Jigga What/Feint; Linkin Park/Jay-Z (Collision Course)
Train in Vain; the Clash (Live from Eternity and Beyond)
Short Skirt, Long Jacket; CAKE
Sheep Go to Heaven, Goats go to Hell; CAKE
There has been a lot of music thus far, and no television.
Heather has also been singing to her, which is always great being that Heather sings probably only a few times a year, which is a shame because she used to be in choir, but after working for Camp Costanoan she got nodes. She is a great singer.
